Valerie waited patiently for the next person

Justin walked in casually, his hands in the pockets of his dark jeans. He walked right over and, without being told, took a seat in the chair beside Valerie, taking a moment to get comfortable. "I'm Justin," he said once he had situated himself with his hands behind his head and his legs crossed, leaning as far back as the chair would let him (which was actually pretty far), "Justin Case."

Valerie smiled slightly. "I'm Valerie," she said. Turning to face him she held out a small cup filled with a blue liquid. "Drink this," she said.

Without even a second of hesitation, he took the cup and poured every last drop down his throat. He was Dauntless, after all.

The room faded away, leaving Justin in the reclining chair in a room of mirrors, his reflection surrounding him.

Justin had closed his eyes but suddenly, noticing that there was an odd silence, opened them. Valerie was gone and the room was now made entirely out of mirrors. Well that was new. He got up and pulled at a few mirrors to see if there was a hidden door. There must have been SOMEway he had gotten in there. They must have drugged him with that blue liquid and, while he was asleep, put him in that room. But why?

The chair disappeared silently, leaving Justin alone. A few feet in front of him appeared two platters, one bearing a knife and the other cheese. "Choose," whispered a commanding female voice, coming from nowhere in particular.

He looked around, taking a moment to decide if he should be obedient or not. Finally, he snatched the knife, but he wasn't too happy about it.

The platters and cheese disappeared, and not far away appeared a large dog. It snarled and barked, bounding ferociously toward Justin.

Justin felt a sudden pang of sadness. He had to kill it, or it would kill him. He loved dogs. Dogs were his favorite animal, and he sometimes liked them more than people. Sometimes even more than himself. Heartbroken, he knelt to the ground and pointed the knife at the dog as it approached. "Stay," he ordered harshly, though his voice cracked ever so slightly as he held back tears. "Stay."

The dog continued to growl but stayed warily away from the knife, circling him.

He made sure that he was facing the dog at all times, his arm shaking as it became more difficult for him to threaten the dog. It wasn't fear that was holding him back. No, Justin wasn't afraid of anything. At least, not that he knew of. It was the guilt of killing the animal. He closed his eyes, turned his head, and thrust the knife out, silently hoping that the dog was too far away for him to hit.

(Did you want him to accidentally kill it? I'm assuming yes because he's Dauntless but tell me if you were planning otherwise so i can edit it)
The dog groaned as it was stabbed, not deeply, but enough to be deadly. It staggered away and collapsed, then faded away.

(no that's fine) Justin released the knife, never opening his eyes, and reached his hands up to cover his ears. He started to sob.

The dog, knife, and mirrors faded into a bus. Across from Justin sat a large man clutching a newspaper with scarred hands. He lowered the newspaper to look at Justin. "Do you know this man?" He asked with a rough voice, showing Justin the newspaper showing the headline of 'Brutal Murderer Finally Apprehended." Justin had the sense that if he told, something bad would happen.
