Valerie frowned. "You got two results. That's called Divergence. You are Divergent. And you can't tell anyone about it." She tilted her head, deep in though. "Even though I'm a Candor, i won't tell anyone. But the problem is, you results are Dauntless and Amity, which are totally opposite. People would be curious if you got, say, an Amity result but then choose Dauntless. So which faction do you think you'll choose, because I need to manually give your aptitude, and i want it to appear accurate."

She blinked, slowly taking it all in. After a long moment of silence, she said, "WHAT?"

Valerie looked at her, a serious expression on her face. "You have an aptitude for multiple factions; that means you are Divergent," she explained in a hushed voice. "I seriously need you to tell me faction you would most likely choose so that people won't discover that you are Divergent."

"Dauntless," she heard herself blurt out.

Valerie nodded. "I'll manually log your result as Dauntless. Never tell anyone you're Divergent, and if anyone asks, you got a Dauntless result but the serum made you sick and I sent you home."

She nodded, still amazed that she had said Dauntless. Was that really who she thought she was? Not that it was bad or anything, but what about Amity? Or Abnegation? What about her family? She felt herself walk out of the door, but it wasn't her. It was like she was standing beside herself, watching as someone else moved her body outside, as someone else greeted people in the halls. It wasn't her in there. She wasn't like that. Was she?

Valerie waved to Analise as she left and then went to prepare for the next person.
