Um well in Star Wars r2d2 basically serves obiwan and then anakin and then luke... they basically are companions and help like control like a battle plane or something however not all droids have to 'serve' someone...
The droid name i suppose is just a combo of letters and numbers like R2D2 or R4P17 although since it doesn't have to be exactly like the movie they could just have like a normal name...

Personality: sweet, loving, adorable, strong, shy, loyal, stubborn Brief History: So, I don't know if i can do this but if I can that would be awesome. I want Dt5c to be the only droid ever to like have feelings (Idk if r2d2 had them but whatever) and he's like super nice and he was made by a super smart scientist guy who died saving him because there was an explosion in the lab and since the scientist had been SO nice to Dt5c, he got feelings. Plots: I want him to fall in love with another droid (it would be awesome if someone could make one) and I want him to die saving her just like the scientist had done for him and then he's going to feel like his mission is complete in life and then he dies.
