The chocolate brown mouse and Though it wasn't a rainy or cloudy night, her vision was blurred at even the thought of the creature behind her. She, of course, didn't know what it was or where it came from (though the only place that she could think would have such a beast would be the underworld), but only that it had found her and wanted her dead. It might not have even had a motive. Maybe it was wandering one day and thought "Hey, human sounds nice right about now!" and decided that she was the fresh kill. But she didn't necessarily care. All she had in mind was get him to safety. It's all on you if he dies. Save him! The blue zebra He, of course, had no more idea of what was going on than she did. To him, it might have been some crazy game, or dream. He wasn't quite aware that all of it was real. The creature scared him something fierce, but he would never admit it to her or anyone else. It reminded him of a giant spider that he had once fought in a video game, but much, much more real. It was following both of them up this hill that they were somehow drawn to, it's thousands of beady eyes watching their every move. It was fast, but they were faster. They were flying, an insane game of cat and mouse, up higher and higher. He was right behind her, but she was urging him on, ordering for him to be in front of her, away from that thing. He would have never been alive as long without her.
Together alone
It was large, very large, with what seemed hundreds of spiny legs that resembled a spider's. It was black as tar and slightly clumsy on it's long legs but could cover a great area in a short amount of time. If the kids had had a sword, it wouldn't have helped because they would have only come up to his "knees" and it's limbs grew back fast. But thankfully for them, they had a fully loaded firearm which they had "borrowed" from their mom to take with them on their journey. Though, funny enough, neither one of them could quite remember why they were on this hill or where they were at all. It was as if they were summoned by an invisible force. But the invisible force had only led them to a long legged, hideous, and mad arachnid. But really, it wasn't such a horrible beast. They had found out early in their battle that the eyes were the key. Shoot it in the eye, and the monster would falter. Shoot it again, and it would become even slower. She had the gun and her aim was impeccable. They had almost finished it. It was close to the end. But then...he fell. Over maybe a root or a rock but none the less. He fell. And that was all it needed. One simple human mistake. It fed on his weakness and was there in a flash to claim it's prey. All she could do was shed a single tear and hope that this one shot (which was the only shot she had time for) could hit the center eye which was bigger and bolder than the others, it's brain. She turned to look at him, make sure he was fine, and in that instant, pulled her trigger. The bullet seemed to fly in slow motion but once it's target was hit, it all happened very fast. The eye fizzed and exploded, puss flying everywhere, it's body shaking to and fro. It's legs came together and shriveled up, as spiders do, and it fell to the dewy ground. It started to shimmer and then was replaced with dust which soon faded. After it was over, he started to stand up. He fell to the ground in 2 seconds flat, overwhelmed with confusion, pain, and exhaustion. She gave a small half smile and soon followed. The pale moon shone on their pink faces. It was just the beginning. On this little green hill.

Jared had been sulking around camp. Actually, sulking probably wasnt the right word. Aimlessly wandering was more like it. Anyway, he'd been checking out camp and sll the activities and places inside when he paused, having heard something. He had been near the magical boundry seperating safety from horror-terrors, so he could guess pretty easy what was going on. The tall teen snatched a sword out of the hands of a nearby Ares camper ( he recieved a liberal amout of threats and profanities in return ) and went ober towards the source. As he drew nearer he saw two kids, one of which armed with a gun. He exited the boundries of camp and lifted a hand in greeting. "Hey you two. Got chased, did ya? Im sure you're pretty confused, but don't worry everything will be explained soon. Lets get out of here," he told them before turning around and walking through the boundry again. He was determined to do a better job at welcoming than that Amber chick.

She looked up at him as if she was at the bridge between life and death and he was an angel leading her up to heaven. She gently shook the boy to get him to wake up (they had both fallen asleep) and helped him get to his feet. She kept the firearm close just in case she needed to use it, but she had a feeling the boy who had found them wasn't a threat. She began to quickly catch up with Jared, her companion close behind. As she crossed the boundary close to the camp, the boy tried to follow but was stopped. He pushed against something that was there but couldn't be seen though she had managed to go through. She turned around to see what was taking so long and found him straining against something she couldn't see. She whipped her head around towards Jared and said, "What in God's name is wrong with my brother!?"
(sorry, I don't really know how the boundaries work, I don't know if they shock you or something or just prevent you from going through, so if you guys want, I can edit it)

(No that was perfect)
Sarah walked up behind Jared. She had just come from archery, so she held a bow and her quiver was on her back. Her long braid hung over her shoulder as she approached them. "Hello," she said quietly. She looked from the new girl inside the boundary to the boy outside. To the girl she said, "is this your brother?"

"Yes," she said, hastily, "And I would appreciate an explanation as to what is happening to him and where I am and what was that crazy spider thing back there and-" but at that moment, she noticed the terrible long scratch that began at her right shoulder and ended at the inner arm part of her elbow. She vaguely remembered the monster's leg scratching her there by mistake right off the bat. "And maybe..." she started, "Maybe some medicine? For my brother?"

Sarah nodded. "All in due time." Turning to the brother she said, "I, Sarah Joline, give you permission to enter camp." To both of them she said, "we have medicine for both of you, and then I'll explain everything to the best of my ability."

Jared looked confused. he had no idea what was wrong with the little boy. He was grateful when Sarah came along and fixed things. he shot her a grateful look before turning back to the two kids. "I can help too, but I don't know all that much as I'm new myself. What are your names by the way? I'm Jared," he introduced himself.

Sarah smiled back at Jared, flicking a bit of dust off of her bow as she looked at the kids, analyzing them.

She smiled at Jared, glad to know at least one person around here. "I'm Sydnee." she said, "Sydnee Syithman." Sydnee then turned to her brother and sort of jerked her head towards the two campers, trying to get him to introduce himself. He was a social boy, but got nervous around people he wasn't familiar with. "I'm Tyler." he explained, "And this place is weird. Why couldn't I move just a little bit ago? And what was that wicked spider thing??" He said it with enthusiasm because, despite how confused he was, he was also excited. Nothing really exciting happened to him or his sister, but he had a feeling that was going to change. "Tyler, manners." Sydnee said sharply.

Sarah smiled. "Well, the spider thing was a monster," she said simply. "And, this is just a guess but, the reason you couldn't move forward because you ran into a magical border surrounding our camp. Only demigods can get in, meaning one of yyourparents was a god." She frowned and added, "the problem is that you say you guys are siblings, but you must be half siblings because you,' she gestured to Tyler, "have mortal parents, whereas you," she looked at Sydnee, "one of your parents was a god."

Jared waved, but said nothing else. he listened closely as Sarah began to explain about the magical boundaries, and frowned when their relationship was brought up. He hadn't thought of that before. Maybe they didn't know?

Sydnee looked at Sarah as if she was crazy and Tyler looked at Sarah as though she had just explained that he was the ruler of the universe. "Wait, like a real live monster? And gods like Greek gods? My mom would always tell me stories about Jesus, but I was never really buying it..." "Ok what?" Sydnee said to Sarah, cutting him off.

Sarah looked at Tyler seriously. "Yes, a real monster." To Sydnee she said, "Greek Mythology is real. Like Zeus and Athena and all the gods. They're real and if you don't believe me, then explain what this spider-like creature was." She crossed her arms, daring Sydnee not to believe her.

Jared frowned. he decided to butt in and say something "hey, i know its like, super crazy at first, believe me I felt the same, like, two days ago?? But she's telling the truth," he said.

Sydnee bit half her lip as she always did when she was really trying to decide something. She folded her arms and turned away from them for a second, contemplating. Sydnee wasn't the kind of gullible, naive chick everyone always expected her to be. But it helped for her to have some version of a super power: she could usually tell when someone was lying or not. Sydnee turned around again to look at their faces, her brother instead watching her face to see if he could get a glimpse of what she thought of the matter. Her words were law to him. "Alright." she said very slowly, "Alright, I...I believe you. In some crazy, messed up way I can actually understand what you are talking about. Sorta. Not really, but I'll get there!"
