The girl sat on a small bale of hay, her long, deep red skirt flowing to her feet. She wore a yellow tank top and a circle of red flowers on her head. Small, comfortable brown slip ons were placed upon her feet. She grabbed a brown case and remived her guitar from it. She hummed a note and then played it on the instrument, laughing whenever she played the wrong note. She was beautiful, but not beautiful in the unhealthy way. She was an average weight, but was visibly taller than the average. After a few strums, she began playing a complex, soothing song, smiling all the while and tapping her foot lightly.

A girl came up, smiling, carrying her guitar. Her knee length red skirt bounced as she skipped and her bright yellow top sparkling in the sun. "May I play with you?" She asked the other girl, tossing her light brown hair over her shoulder.

She smiled and nodded. "I'm Clara," she said, setting her guitar down carefully. She stuck her hand out to the girl.

She smiled and shook Clara's hand. "I'm Gabrielle," she said. "Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too," she said cheerfully. She picked her guitar up again.

Gabrielle picked up her guitar, strumming the strings lightly and began to sing in a beautiful, clear voice.

She joined in as well, her voice ringing out soft, beautiful, and an octave higher than Gabrielle's. She sung a gentle lullaby and swayed as she strummed her guitar.

Gabrielle hummed a harmony but immediately gagged as she did when the notes were too low for her. She switched back and hummed a countermelody insteady, her face smiling with laughter at her failed attempt to sing like an alto.

Clara grinned, her eyes closing as she let the music take over. Her fingers moved at an incredible speed, pressing on one string then another. She continued swaing, her long hair gently trailing after her.

Geniveive was walking down a long hill of grass when she heard the girls singing. Beautiful. She thought. Breathtaking. And it was. Their voices rang above the hill, into the sky. They were only missing one thing. An alto. Thankfully, she could provide that. She took her time walking down the hill to meet the girls, smiling to herself all the while.

Gabrielle smiled at Genevieve and strummed her guitar gracefully.

Clara stopped as she heard Genevieve come up. "Hi!" she chirped happily.

"Hello, girls." Geniveive replied, warmly. "You have the most lovely voices. I could hear them from all the way up the hill. But you do have very high voices. I believe you are missing something. The harmony. Do you mind if I sing with you?"

She blushed. "Thanks, and we would love it if you joined us," she chirped, grinning.

Geniveive smiled. "Thank you." She giggled, "I really just needed an excuse to sing with you!" She sat down on a bale of hay across from them and started singing. It was a long, slow song but would also become faster and higher. Everyone knew this tune so she knew they could play it on the guitar. Geniveive's voice wasn't a whole lot lower than theirs, but she wasn't a soprano either. Her voice would combine with theirs and make a beautiful song.
