(It's ok... it's logical just a bit Abnegation)
Suddenly, the dog, girl, and room of mirrors faded away leaving Connor on a bus. Across from him sat a man reading a newspaper, the hands holding the paper very scarred. The man turned the paper around to show Connor. "Do you know this man?" He asked roughly, gesturing to a picture in the paper with the caption, 'Brutal Murderer Finally Apprehended.'

Conner stared at the picture realizing he knew the man. He fought against his Candor blood and instead listened to the voice inside his head telling him, No, don't tell him! "I'm sorry, I don't know that man." he said, cringing.

The scarred man glared at him. "Are you sure?" He asked. Lowering his voice he added, "if you did, you could save me."

Conner looked at the man, determined not to tell him this time. He would never be like the candor in him, the candor he always hated. "I don't know him." he said, forcefully.

The man as and bus faded away, leaving Connor back in the room with Valerie.
"Erudite," Valerie announced.

"What?" was his first reply. Erudite? Was that right? He had always considered himself smart but not that smart. But then Conner remembered the life he had lived before, the life where nothing was a lie, no secrets ever kept hidden. He smiled to himself but hoped Valerie wouldn't see. Now he knew that he wasn't supposed to go back to that honest, secret keeping, mind speaking lifestyle that he had always hated. He could choose a new path. This test was supposed to help him and help him it did.

Valerie smiled. "Remember the choice is still yours," she said.

He looked at her, wondering how he had read his thoughts.

"I'm Candor," Valerie said in response to his thoughts. "I can usually tell what people are thinking."

(Spotty she really can read minds? Don't you think that's a little......far fetched? It's kind of weird)

(Uh she doesn't read minds but Candor can kinda tell. Like they know when people are lying and stuff so they can kinda read emotions. No actual ind reading though)
Valerie smiled politely.

Conner mumbled a 'thank you' to Valerie and walked out of the door.
