I have had ENOUGH of all this incessant inactivity.
So there will be a contest.
A BIG contest.
This contest will go from February 14th to March 1st.
Whoever posts the most within that time period will win the biggest amount of points ever given as a prize on Midnight Glow: 100 points.
2nd place will win 50 points.
All participants will receive 20 points.
Each participant will receive an extra 5 points each day they post at least 10 times. For this part, you may not post twice in a row on the same thread, you must wait for another rper to post before you post again.
The number of posts will be calculated in points (different from the website's currency).
All posts are worth 1 point.
All threads created by you are worth 2 points.
All threads created by you for a good reason (not just hunting or patrols, something like training or a meeting) are worth 3 points.
If you recruit a new member, that is an added 20 points and I may or may not raise that number at the last minute. If you recruit a new member, both you and that member must PM me separately and tell me.
If you argue with me over your point total, that automatically subtracts 5 points from your total.
Spam is not only not counted, but it also worth -1 point.
Do not spam.
Since some people tend to forget, here is my definition of spam: anything that does not contain a roleplay bit that is important to the roleplay. I will not accept 'she yawned' or 'the wind blew' or 'he waited' unless they are made interesting. I will, however, accept things such as 'she nodded' or 'he shrugged' because they are important to the roleplay (the character is making a decision).
You may ask OOC questions in a roleplay as long as you also roleplay in the same post.
Oh, and one more minor detail.
If you don't post at all in this time period, you will be charged 100 points. Just a little motivation for our less active members. GET YOUR ACTS TOGETHER.
New members will not be fined or considered a participant until they have made their first post.
Each week, in addition to posting the weekly contest results, I will post a sort of 'progress report' for this contest. It will show you who you need to beat and how many more points you will need to beat them.
