history: when she was in dauntless, she was born deaf in her right ear and one day her drunk mother was driving a car (they have cars there right?) and they crashed and daniella got a shard of the glass stuck in her eye (yes i know gory and gross) and her mother died. When she was taken to the doctor, they took the shard out of her eye but informed her that there was nothing they could do, she would be blind in that eye for the rest of her life. after that, she set out to learn sign language and is now fluent at it. When the ceremony happened, she chose Depreciation because she knew if she stayed in dauntless, she would just hurt herself or someone else. When she got there, they recognized she knew sign language and could use her legs, so they made her messenger
