The girl ran across the fields, not even daring to look back. Her long black hair swirled waved behind her like streamers. She heard a growl as the creature sprinted after her, running at a speed she couldn't even imagine. It was a wonder how she'd stayed alive so long, but she didn't mind. She would prefer not dying. She heard a faint thud, a yelp, and the pounding footsteps behind her stopped. She risked a glance over her shoulder and saw that the creature was tinted bluish. Its paws- if you could call them paws- were twitching slightly, as if it were trying to get up but couldn't. She knew she didn't have much time before it healed itself, so she kept running. She didn't really know where she was going, but she felt like she could find someplace safe from the monsters. She reached the top of a hill and then saw some sort of camp. She didn't have time to think about it anymore. She looked down at her side and saw that the huge gash was still bleeding heavily. Her vision blurred slightly as she tried to move closer (with much difficulty) and she finally collapsed a few feet from a large house. She was still conscious, but just barely. Soon enough the grass next to her was stained with blood. She would've called for help but she was too weak and too stubborn. She hated needing other people. She would find a way to heal herself. She felt herself heating up, but her body quickly cooled itself down. She looked around the camp for anything that could have helped her, but she couldn't see anything. She sighed and lay there with her hand over the wound in a failed attempt to stop the bleeding before she tuned out. She didn't necessarily black out, but her mind sort of shut itself off. Her eyes kept recording and her heart kept beating but it was like she was outside of herself, witnessing, but not feeling, the pain.

Cleo raced and slid onto the ground, her knees already dirtied and bruised. She had just come out of her cabin to take a picture of the stars when she had seen the girl collapse. Cleo wasn't the biggest or tallest person but she was strong, very strong. She scooped her arms underneath the girl's back and slowly lifted her up, as not to hurt her. She carried her like a bloodied princess all the way to the medical room (?¿?). Cleo immediately began to tend to her wounds, soothing all the way: "It's ok. You're alright. You're safe now, I've got you."
(sorry whispey I didn't really ask you if I could do this but I was just thinking that maybe she could help the girl and then they could become really good friends, if you don't like that then we don't have to do it)

(sure)
Her eyes were open the entire time, and her breathing gradually slowed to anormal speed. Suddenly she sat straight up, her wounds completely forgotteen. She looked around her, then straight at Cleo. She blinked and then smiled. She let out a faint laugh, sort of thinking that the idea of her still being alive was funny. "Thanks," she said, swinging herself off the hospital bed thing (?). She stuck her hand out to the girl. "I'm Lyydia," she said.

Cleo smiled for a second but then her face was immediately changed to worried. "Hi." she said quickly, "Hi, I'm Cleo and you are still hurt." She tried to slowly get Lyydia to sit down on the hospital bed (?).

Sarah had been making a star chart and noticed Cleo. She jogged after her. She saw the new girl and tilted her head, eyes questioning, looking to Cleo for explanation. She found a package of ambrosia and handed a small piece to the girl. "This will help to heal your wounds."

Lyydia grinned at Cleo. "Meh, I've been hurt tons of times." She then looked over to Sarah, down at the little square, and back to Sarah questioningly. She shurgged and took the ambrosia. She munched on the corners and gasped slightly. It tasted so familiar... It took her a minute to realize that it was from a distant memory, a time when she was young. Her father's homemade mint ice cream sandwiches. She could feel the chill as she swallowed. It was amazing. She wondered how these people had gotten her father's recipe and packed it into a tiny piece of... whatever it was. Once she finished it, she looked back up at the others. "What is this place?" she asked, looking around a little.

Sarah smiled. "Welcome to Camp Half-Blood. I'm Sarah, by the way."

She raised an eyebrow. "Camp what?"

"Half-Blood."

"What do you mean 'half-blood?'" she asked, still not understanding. Half?

"Half human, half god," she said. "You are a demigod, meaning one of your parents was a god, and the other was mortal."

She blinked. "Does that give me special godly powers or something?"

Sarah nodded. "Exactly correct. Well actually, it depends on your godly parent. Take me for example. I'm a daughter of Athena. I'm just naturally smart and good with weapons and crafts like weaving. Not exactly a power. But if you're, say, a child of Zeus, then you can control the winds and call down lightning and all that jazz," Sarah explained, somewhat bitterly. "Why? Have you noticed yourself using some sort of power?"

She shrugged. "No, just asking."

Sarah nodded, deep in thought. After a moment, she smiled. "Well, if you feel better, do you want a tour of camp?" She offered.
