Abnegation
Faction Manifesto
I will be my undoing If I become my obsession.
I will forget the ones I love If I do not serve them.
I will war with others If I refuse to see them.
Therefore I choose to turn away From my reflection, To rely not on myself But on my brothers and sisters, To project always outward Until I disappear (And only God remains (optional)).
History
Abnegation's first leader, Jennifer Hartlend.
Compound
Abnegation have one main compound where they gather (may not be accurate), and each family has a small, gray, rectangular house. Each house is identical.
Initiation
Initiates spend 30 days performing community service. On initiation day, one of the older members will read the faction manifesto as the initiates sit side by side on a bench. Then, the older members wash the initiates feet and lastly, the whole faction eats a meal, each person serving the one to their left. No one fails Abnegation initiation.
Traits
The Abnegation are known for being selfless. They help others, especially the factionless, and are taught to never think of themselves. All Abnegation wear gray clothes. Males wear their hair very short, and females wear their hair in tight buns. Most other factions call them Stiffs.
High Positions
Faction Representative- represents the faction. basically the leader that everyone has heard of 1/1

Faction Leader- lead the faction. the most experienced leader is the most powerful- also leaders of the government. 0/2
Faction Council- a group of highly trusted members who help run the government. when a leader position opens up, the new leader is often chosen from this group, though it may be chosen from any group 0/4
Semi High Positions
Instructor- trains initiates 0/2
Normal Positions
Members- those who have completed training and now work for their faction, often by helping the factionless or volunteering 0/unlimited
Abnegation-Born Initiates- initiates who were born in Abnegation and, at the Choosing Ceremony, chose Abnegation 0/unlimited
Transfer Initiates- initiates who were born in a different faction but, at the Choosing Ceremony, chose Abnegation 0/unlimited
Children- those who have not yet taken their aptitude test or chosen yet 1/unlimited

Midnight Glow is played Alternate universe where none of that ever happened. The history is created by our roleplaying!
Can I play a member of Abnegation?
Of course! You can create a thread or jump into an existing one.
Can I play a High Position?
High Positions and Semi High Positions are chosen ICly (in characterly), so if you and your character are active, you could be promoted!
Why aren't my characters in the member count?
Because in order to enter your characters, I need to know their full name AND their rank. Feel free to post your character's full name and rank below and i will add them ASAP.
