Ravenstar waited outside of the medicine cat den for Lilypaw, a smile upon her maw and she sat, tail curled around her body.

Lilypaw bounded over, the initial excitement of her new position starting to wear off a bit, but still not enough to return her to her former, shy self.

"Today we will begin your training as a medic apprentice, and I will be your mentor." Ravenstar mewed somewhat formally. "So, would you like to explore the territory and gather herbs, learn to hunt, learn to fight, or learn about herbs first?" She inquired, smiling.

All her excitement faded away. "Wait, I still have to learn to fight?" she asked worriedly.

Ravenstar nodded slightly. "You need to learn just in case but you won't be expected to actually fight, except in self defense." She answered

She nodded. "Well, I guess we should start with that," she mewed, her energy beginning to return though she still wasn't quite as excited, "to get it over with."

Ravenstar nodded. "Follow me," she mewed, flicking her tail as she led the way out of camp. She walked into a flat, open space and turned to face Lilypaw.

Lilypaw was startled. Attack the leader? She considered this for a moment before coming to the conclusion that if the leader was telling her to do it, it was an order, and she had to obey orders, especially orders directly from the leader herself. So technically, if she didn't attack the leader, she would be breaking the warrior code, and she didn't want to do that. Carefully keeping her claws sheathed, she circled the she-cat, trying to look menacing but coming off about as scary as a kittypet, and not even one of the fierce ones. She suddenly leaped at Ravenstar, aiming to land on her back. Her speed was impeccable, but the rest could use a little work. However, it was still a great leap and it looked as if she would land in just the right spot.

Ravenstar darted lightly away, just in time and nodded in approval. "Very good for a first try," she praised. "Try to fake me out."
(Speaking of the warrior code, i know I'll supposed to have raven appoint a deputy before moonhigh, but there was nobody applying for deputy. Should WindClan be deputy-less for now or should i appoint an npc until someone wants to be deputy?)

Lilypaw nodded and hesitated as she thought about how to attack if the leader knew she was going to try and trick her. She finally lunged at Ravenstar, then just a second after her paw did or did not strike the she-cat, she leaped forwards again but at the last moment slid on her belly until she was under Ravenstar and pawed carefully at the leader's belly before sliding out again in a flash of fur.
